In the best way my time to play video games has dropped to nothing. I’m a full on adulting honksplurt blonk bink. I got just enough time to think boy it would be cool to play THAT game sometime. Also in our new terrifying world that we all live in, maybe a list of upcoming games seems wrong.
Radical Dreamers
On a different podcast I sometimes guest host and guest guest they covered Radical Dreamers. I played it years ago in English. Now I have the full power of Japanese at my side. I just need to sit down like this here on this laptop and play it. Well it’s hard to do that with new human life.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
I have played all the way through this dumb beautiful game. I think it’s incredible. I have been vibrating to talk about it with Chris. I will continue to vibrate for months as he ever eventually finishes it. Then maybe we can sit down and have a chat. In the mean time I want to work through Hard Mode. Really dig into this battle system. Look at the story a second time and nod my head and say, “That’s interesting.”

The second best (after Sonic Utopia) is ever enticing to get lost in. They did it they made 3D Sonic on the DooM engine. And then it has the piles of mods on top of it like:

Final Fantasy Tactics
I hate tactics games. But my friends won’t shut up about this one. So I got the Japanese PS1 version to prove a point. Now it sits in a box taunting me!

It’s a 3D Mech Action/Dating Sim on the PS1. Get past the skeeze and the rest is incredible.
Disco Elysium
I have deliberately avoided anything about this game because my friends won’t shut the hell up about it and everything they say is so intriguing.

TerraOnion MODE Saturn and Dreamcast
And just for fun here are games I’d try in those circumstances: Not a game but a way for me to play every and any Dreamcast or Saturn game on real hardware? I’d only have to convince my family that it’s okay to have two more plastic boxes in this tiny Japanese apartment.
