Games of the First Half of 2020

Ryu Ga Gotoku 7 (January 16, 2020)

I’ve ignored almost all the news for this game, confident in my ability to buy it…one day. I still got Gotoku no Ken over here!

Kingdom Hearts 3: Re Mind DLC (January 23)

Kingdom Hearts 3 was one of our favorite games of 2019 and we will sign up f-THIRTY DOLLARS?

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (January 23, 2020)

The one time I managed to rangle 3 friends 4 GBAs, a gamecube and a television this game was pretty special. Maybe I will be able to find friends to embark on this again.

PC Engine Mini (March 20)

This is definitely the dumbest day in video games ever (see below.) Yes for a (fifth) time I will pay for a box with roms. After playing Policenauts, I was thinking I wanted to play Snatcher again. There we go, I will have the environment for it and Bonk!

Final Fantasy 7 Remake (March 20)

I don’t care what anyone says, everyone will play this and probably have a good time.

Doom 64 (March 20)

I played through Doom 64 this year thanks to the excellent PC Port. You can do that too, or pay for it. Either way DooM 64 is moody and great. Marvel at anyone possibly beating the last boss with an N64 controller.

Space Invaders Invincible Collection (March 20)

List of games here This day gets more ridiculous with a nice Space Invaders Collection. I got to play Space Invaders Giga-max as intended, over the skyline of Tokyo on top of Roppongi Hills. This will not be that, but it will have Space Invaders Extreme which is excellent.

Disco Elysium (2020??)

My friends keep posting screencaps of this game’s writing and lord it’s funny. Maybe I will break down and just buy it on PC.

Streets of Rage 4 (2020??)

I am filled with doubt with every trailer that comes out of this (the most recent had retrowave), but the Dragon’s Trap remake was good. This…could…be…good…too?

More Sega Ages Switch (2020)

We got Thunderforce AC, G-Loc Battle, HERZOG ZWEI, and Sonic 2 coming.

Conclusion

Woah is that it? That’s fine. Really. Between 2019 and every video game ever made I’m fine. I’m fine if they stopped making games I liked. They made so many games I liked in 2019 I’m swimming in games. I was already swimming in games. Now more so. Totally Awesome Video Games FF7 is going to be great.
