Double Dungeons
Double Dungeons is a video game for the PC Engine. The ideal circumstance is two friends play the Double Dungeons. The Dungeons are shown double, from a first person perspective. Luckily I sometimes had a friend in my house.
We started on opposite ends of a gigantic dungeon maze. I think in single player you can go wherever you want. In Double Mode we were seperated by some vicious snakes. Outside of random battles there are also clear Required Battles.
Complicating matters, with the dungeon biofocated one of us had an inn and the other had a shop to buy equipment. The inn side had to rely on treasure chests and level ups to get stronger.
After 35 minutes we both had finally beaten the snake. Without a map or real land marks in the pixel dungeon, getting lost was easy. We finally yelled loud enough what part of the airport pick up we were in. We saw each other’s sprites on the other side of the screen. We cheered.
