In the videogame zodiac, 2024 was the Year of the Sicko.
If you’ve hung around any of us, perhaps sitting in Discord during a stream that inevitably devolves into shit talking and going far off topic, you will hear about real sicko shit. Real pervert shit. None of this has anything to do with sex, as much as knowing that at a certain point, games become the hobby of weirdos, the sickos, the perverts. Here at Hinge Problems, we have long been aware that is where we belong, out there in the land of the sick. You don’t remain such a steadfast fan of shooters and not realize that yeah, you are playing games that are no longer meant for the masses, but for the 20,000 weirdos out there who buy monitors to flip them on their sides.
As will probably become apparent over the length of this article, I had reasons for being a sicko this year, but I felt like you should be warned ahead of time.
